MIDNIGHT GAL

She stays to herself and she don’t say much
She wears a little sign that say “don’t touch”
She’s all buttoned up like a virgin saint
People say she is but I know she ain’t

When I knock on her door
She lets her hair fall down
I’m her moonlight man
She’s my midnight gal

She sits in the dark in the T.V. lights
Same time same station every night
With her one life to live and her true romance
She got too much time on her idle hands

When I knock on her door
She lets her hair fall down
I’m her moonlight man
She’s my midnight gal

On a Friday night
I like to have my fun
I like to drink my beer
‘Til my money’s gone

Take my steady girl
Drop her off at her house
I’ve got a rendezvous
With my midnight gal

Put a little whiskey in her china cup
She gets a little tight then she loosens up
Hang her cross on a mirror
Drop her dress on the floor
Take an old picture frame and
Shove it in a drawer

When I knock on her door
She lets her hair fall down
I’m her moonlight man
She’s my midnight gal

I tell a little joke put a smile on her lips
Do a little dance put a wiggle in her hips
She’s a full grown woman but she jump for joy
Like a little girl with a brand new toy

When I knock on her door
She lets her hair fall down
I’m her moonlight man
She’s my midnight gal
